Blended Learning with Practical/Workplace Application
This programme develops the competence required to identify workplace hazards and participate in operational occupational health and safety risk assessments.
Learners develop a practical understanding of how workplace hazards are identified, risks are evaluated and suitable controls are selected to reduce the likelihood of injury, illness or loss.
Blended Learning
Theory may be completed online or through facilitator-led training, followed by practical risk-assessment activities.
Practical/Workplace Component
Learners should apply their knowledge by conducting a practical or simulated workplace risk assessment.
This allows learners to demonstrate their ability to identify hazards, evaluate risks and recommend appropriate controls.
Assessment may include knowledge activities, practical exercises and completion of an operational risk assessment.
Particularly valuable for organisations implementing formal occupational health and safety management systems and developing internal risk-assessment capability
